Whole wheat noodle is produced by removing only the husk of the grain rice. The outer bran layer of brown rice is loaded with Vitamins and minerals. It boasts four times more Vitamin B1 and three times more fiber than white rice. B1 is responsible for efficiently converting carbohydrates to energy. Fiber is excellent for healthy bowels and also essential in the prevention of heart disease and cancer. This bran layer also contains phytate, essential oils, which have been shown to prevent heart disease by decreasing cholesterol. Whole wheat noodle / Somen is thin, round and light noodle, so it cooks quickly and absorbs the flavor of sauces, dressing and seasonings well, and it is both convenient and versatile. It has the same value as Lomein / Whole wheat noodle.

General Cooking Instructions:
1. Remove ribbons and place noodles in 8-10 cups rapidly boiling water.
2. Stir to separate and cook 5-8 minutes until tender.
3. Re in cold water to reheat submerge briefly in hot water or broth. Or put them on the ice piece, as Japanese style summer noodles.
