BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO RISERVA DOCG

Grape Varieties: 100% Sangiovese.
WINE-MAKING:
The harvest was anticipated and it started the 15th of September, lasting until October 5th. The alcoholic fermentation, in contact with the skins, lasted 18 days with a slow and gradual increase of the controlled temperature in stainless steel vats, up to 32°C.
AGEING:
The wine was aged in Slovenian oak barrels of small (7,5 - 25 Hl) and medium (30 Hl) capacity; afterwards it had at least 6 months of refinement in bottle, before being released.
TASTING NOTES:
This wine shows very intense ruby red with shades of garnet. The bouquet is very complex with fruity and spicy flavours with hints of blackberry, black-currant and tobacco. The taste is supple, warm, tannic and well structured with an aftertaste of fruity and spicy aromas that enhances the great persistence.
SERVING:
Wine for important occasions, matches roast or braised meat, game and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18°C.
